At the gateway corner to historic Groton Center, adjacent to the Groton Inn and the Forge and Vine restaurant, stands a Second Empire French Mansard residence known as the Waters House. Initial plans explored extending the historic structure, but the client ultimately chose to forgo the addition and instead convert the Waters House into six apartments. Shown here are the early design concepts developed for the proposed historic building extension.
