Maugel Architects announced that Comcast selected the firm to design the 131,000-square-foot interior fit-out for the company's Greater Boston regional headquarters at Five Omni Way in Chelmsford, Massachusetts. Maugel had previously completed the design of the building's façade and lobby renovations for property owner Griffith Properties.

The 131,000-square-foot workplace will include a customer call center, product demonstration lab, training center with classrooms, executive offices, fitness center, and full-service cafeteria. Designed to support collaboration and operational efficiency, the workplace will feature predominantly open office areas complemented by shared amenity spaces, including huddle rooms, exposed ceilings, LED lighting, and contemporary interior finishes.

The flexible design accommodates Comcast's workforce of approximately 475 employees while providing capacity for future growth. The project also incorporates an energy management system and full-building generator backup to support reliable operations.

“We look forward to moving into our new space and continuing to innovate and grow in the Greater Boston Region for years to come,” said Tracy Pitcher, senior vice president of Comcast’s Greater Boston Region.

In addition to Maugel Architects and Comcast, other team members include property owner Griffith Properties, AHA Engineers and Aberthaw Construction.
