For four years, our team worked alongside an out-of-state architect as the local representative for the design, approval process, and construction administration for the Portsmouth Middle School project. An architectural icon to the City of Portsmouth, the school was in desperate need of renovation and expansion. The goal of the project was to create a school that was environmentally sensitive and substantially more energy-efficient while preserving the historic character of the original 1930s building. The three-phased project consisted of a 30,000 SF three-story addition, renovations to the original structure, and a new softball field.
