Partnering with Integrated Builders and BLW Engineering, Maugel DeStefano's Interiors team designed 75,600 SF of third-floor office space for the Mass Department of Elementary & Secondary Education, the Department of Higher Education, and the Executive Office of Education at 135 Santilli Highway in Everett, Mass.
Working closely with the Division of Capital Asset Management (DCAMM), the team added over 335 workstations, 60 offices, and 57 conference rooms of varying sizes to the floor plan. The scope also included a new reception lobby, mailroom, several breakrooms, and a large training room. New finishes, ceilings, and lighting were upgraded throughout the office space, and all existing bathrooms were renovated and modernized.
This was the team's second office build-out for Gilbane Development Company at 135 Santilli Highway, having previously completed a 60,000 SF office build-out on the same floor for the Massachusetts Rehabilitation Commission in 2020.
