Maugel DeStefano Architects announced the completion of the first phase of Northgate Meadows, a 216-unit apartment community being developed by the Whitney Companies on Research Drive in Sterling, Mass. The development will be completed in three phases.

Each phase features a 106,000-square-foot, four-story podium-style residential building with a mix of one- and two-bedroom affordable and market-rate apartments. Rentable storage units and expansive common areas are located on each floor. Each building also includes 26,500 square feet of parking beneath the residential floors, providing ample vehicle parking and a dedicated dog-grooming station.

Construction on the second phase is currently underway, with the final phase scheduled to follow immediately upon its completion.
