Maugel Architects has been chosen to design improvements for 96 Milk Street in Methuen, the former home of the Internal Revenue Service. Initial design concepts for the 140,000 square foot facility feature visual enhancements to the exterior which call attention to the building's prominent location near the many amenities located in The Methuen Loop. The low-profile, linear front facade will feature new materials in geometric arrangement that disguise the big box feeling of the existing structure. Although the structure is perfect for a single tenant, Maugel is also working on schemes that would allow for the smaller spaces to be leased to multiple tenants. The designs will be completed this fall.
