Designed with a laid-back aesthetic, this stunning 5,000-square-foot shingle-style home boasts views of the picturesque Isles of Shoals. The clients' main goal was to create an inviting, unpretentious home that could easily accommodate their children and more than a dozen grandchildren.
Working with the unique shape of the property, the design incorporates a custom fit angle in the floor plan that helped define the open-concept "rooms". This approach perfectly aligned with the client's vision of a friendly and casual space.
At the heart of the home, the open kitchen, with its large granite island, cozy breakfast nook, and adjacent open sitting areas, is the central gathering space. The design team ensured water views were showcased by placing over 30 windows along the waterside of the home, maximizing views and refreshing sea breezes.
