Construction has begun on the 5,000 SF Primary Care Suite for Acton Medical Associates located at the Shops at Highland Commons in Hudson, Mass.  Maugel Architects designed the facility along with Design Day Mechanical, Pristine Engineers and TFMoran. Green Leaf Construction was selected as the general contractor. The new facility will be Acton Medical’s fourth location designed by Maugel Architects. Maugel had previously designed Acton Medical's main office in Acton and satellite facilities in Littleton and Harvard.

With patient care and experience as the top priorities, the design team worked closely with a diverse group of Acton Medical physicians, nurses and administrative staff to create an efficient and comfortable environment to provide optimal care for patients.  Maugel proposed a simple circulation pattern with multiple exam room layouts that optimized square footage, creating an exceptional healthcare experience for adults and pediatric patients alike.

The new facility will include a treatment room, central nurse station, laboratory, phlebotomy draw station, consultation space, 10 exam rooms, and physician offices and support spaces for administration and medical staff.
