We had a wonderful time at the Maugel Holiday Soiree. Maugel's corporate offices were transformed into a festive winter wonderland thanks to an army of elves led by Maureen, Debbie and Jane. The space was gorgeous and set the mood for a special evening with colleagues and friends.
Brent and Roberta, stylishly dressed in black tie, greeted guests upon arrival. The cocktail reception was held in the beautifully decorated foyer, which featured holiday decorations, soft lighting, and a well-stocked bar. Elegant hors d'oeuvres, prepared by Corporate Catering, were served by Debbie's high school daughter, Olivia, and her three friends -- lovely young ladies who possessed more poise and grace than most adults.
Sarah, Colby, and Nicole organized and presented the Superlatives Awards, which was a lot of laughs. I made sure I messed-up my desk a little this year so I wouldn't win the "neatest desk" award again. (What can I say, I like to know where things are...)
Dinner was held in the gathering room -- elegantly decorated in white furnishings, candlelight, and holiday accents. A gourmet buffet and carving station was accompanied by acoustic guitar music performed by classical guitarist Berit Strong.
After dinner, Kunz took center stage to reprise his role as "Santa" for the white elephant yankee swap. The garden gnome was a big hit again this year, while the scary doll continues to give everyone nightmares...
A special thanks to Brent and Roberta for hosting the wonderful evening.
