National Development selected Maugel Architects to design dramatic façade improvements and common area transformations for five buildings at The District Burlington. The original entrance to Building 8 featured a dark, uninviting breezeway that connected two wings. The new lobby transformed the area into a multipurpose tenant amenity by creating a relaxing space for tenants. The materials selection features soothing, nature elements such as a living wall, natural bamboo wall panels, organically-shaped mosaic floor tile, patio-like furniture and bright mood boosting lighting. The result is a feeling of being outdoors year round. The living wall was specifically chosen to improve air quality, alertness, energy level, and to promote a sense of well-being.
