Maugel Architects has been selected as the designer for the addition and alterations to the new Shaker Hill Golf Course Clubhouse and Far Point Pavilion. Along with significant improvements to the golf course, which includes a new practice green and a reconfigured 18^th hole that finishes at the clubhouse, the new ownership is planning significant improvements to the clubhouse. Maugel is currently designing a new rooftop terrace overlooking The Zone—the term that Shaker Hills owner, Fred Curtis, affectionately calls the dramatic improvements to the practice green, 1^st and 10^th tee boxes and the 18^th green.  The terrace features a covered pavilion with a new stone fireplace and chimney, which serve as the target line from the 1^st fairway.  The improvements to the clubhouse include a new kitchen, bar, and lounge and a reconfigured pro shop.
