Brent Maugel
Brent Maugel, A.I.A. - President / Owner
Brent Maugel has thirty years of experience in architectural design and project management. Brent served as an associate in two renowned architectural firms in Boston, prior to forming Maugel Architects in 1993. His experiences include design of major residential developments, transportation facilities, health care facilities, as well as large scale office and industrial parks. Mr. Maugel is registered in nine east coast states.
Dan Barton
Dan Barton, A.I.A. - Principal
Dan Barton is a renowned consensus builder, public presenter, and permitting professional. Dan has over twenty years of experience in master planning, feasibility studies and complex design for such varied building types as transportation facilities, medical facilities, educational facilities and churches. With expertise in the renovations to historically significant structures, Mr. Barton currently serves as Chairman of a local Historic Districts Commission.
Heather Merwin
Heather Merwin - Director of Interior Architecture
Heather Merwin is one of New England’s premier interior architecture specialists. Heather is responsible for programming, space planning, and interior design for large institutional and commercial clients. Prior to joining MAI in 1998, Heather served as a designer at Creative Office Pavilion in Boston, providing space planning and furniture applications to a wide variety of clients.
Bill Coye
Bill Coye - Chief Financial Officer
Bill Coye has served as Chief Financial Officer since the founding of MAI in 1995. Bill has implemented state-of–the-art accounting programs to streamline the firm’s financial operations, and to facilitate efficient and accurate project accounting. Mr. Coye has a background in economics and has previously managed the finances of more than ten other businesses, some of which he has owned and operated himself.
