71 Third Avenue
71 Third Avenue, Burlington, MA
This 44,000 SF office building is located at the Nordblom Company’s Northwest Office Park. The design showcases a dramatic glass and steel entry, emerging from the intersection of angular and curved building facades. The exterior is further punctuated with metal encased two-story openings, which highlight corners and contrast horizontal elements.

As a new office building, 35 Forest Ridge offers a stately presence amidst the wooded landscape, entering a new mixed-use development. Traditional materials and design details create a welcoming character, while a glazed tower and asymmetry add a dynamic visual appeal. A faux slate roof appropriately tops the structure and conceals mechanical equipment.

Transforming an existing building into a state-of-the-art communications company marked the success of this fast-track renovation project. With only three months for design and construction MAI addressed building accessibility and created an inspiring work environment. The new entry is an icon for Foliage, as well as the industrial park, of which it is a part.
Gensym

This 27,300 SF rehabilitation project was previously a one-story, rectangular box. The property owner, Nordblom Company, wanted to redesign the building in a dramatic fashion. In response, MAIs designed a glass cube structure to appear as if it had fallen from the sky. The cube is both eye-catching and reflects Gensym’s energized business image.
Unisys
Unisys, Burlington, MA
The Unisys project entailed the renovation of a non-descript, single story manufacturing building, into an attractive corporate center. The use of new masonry, fenestration, and decorative banding create a pleasing rhythm across the horizontal planes. In juxtaposition, glazing details extend above the building’s former roofline and add a dramatic visual break.
